about me
Rebecca Tolan, MS RDN CDN
I’m Rebecca - a Registered Dietitian with a passion for helping others learn how to use nutrition concepts to improve their lives.
During the years spent working in this field, I’ve found a majority of clients are overwhelmed, confused and frustrated about food and nutrition. Most people have been led astray by inaccurate and/or misinformed claims about what they should and shouldn’t do to maintain their health. It can be discouraging and lead to people believing something is wrong with them. Nothing is wrong with them, and nothing is wrong with you. The reality is that nutrition must be individualized, an evidence-based practice that Registered Dietitians are trained in for years to be able to execute.
My favorite part of my job is watching people let go of pseudoscientific beliefs about food and health, and being a part of their journey to adopt realistic and evidence-based nutrition practices that truly improve their lives. I love watching my clients become confident eaters for the first time in years.
I believe that a deeper understanding of basic, and evidence-based nutrition concepts can truly be the key to unlocking your health -and life- once and for all.
Let’s simplify nutrition together, and improve your overall health and lifestyle.

Yes, I do! The science doesn’t lie - weight stigma is a real, detrimental factor in and outside of health care settings. Weight can paint a picture, and tells a story, but it doesn’t tell the whole story. When we focus simply on weight, we tend to ignore health behaviors that are much more impactful on our overall health and well-being than a number on a scale. Size is simply not a reliable indicator of one’s health.
